For the month of June we are refreshing those taste buds and giving a shout out to our Swedish fans (yes it’s National Day of Sweden on the 6th June, and you all know how we love a National Day, here at bubbledogs). Our next guest dog is from Executive Chef, Henrik Ritzen from contemporary Nordic restaurant, Aquavit in St James’s Market – Happy National Day!

The Champagne Masterclass

The Evening Standard’s London Food Month is a major new food festival, curated by creative directors Grace Dent and Tom Parker Bowles. Launching this June, it is a month-long celebration of collaborations and unique experiences of must-see, eat and drink events filled with over 400 events across the capital.

As part of the celebrations, Sandia is hosting two very exclusive grower Champagne masterclasses on Monday 12th June and Monday 26th June at 7pm, within the intimate surroundings of Kitchen Table. The masterclasses will be an introduction to grower Champagnes, including their unusual styles and specific regions paired with Sandia’s favourite, unconventional food pairings.

Originally from California, Sandia has held positions in respected restaurants, including Noma, named the ‘World’s Best Restaurant’, and Per Se (which is where she met husband James Knappett) –  These days, when not popping up on Saturday Kitchen, as their regular wine expert, she is the Head Sommelier and Wine Buyer for Kitchen Table and bubbledogs. Sandia prides herself on knowing all of her suppliers personally, making regular visits to the small-batch producers in Champagne to research and curate the restaurant’s wine lists.

Tickets are £95 per person, which includes the 6 x glasses of grower Champagne samples and 6 x paired snacks.
